Learning aids (8) and activities should reflect the complexity of the topic material and the needs and abilities of the audience (1). Mix and match learning activities and learning methodologies to achieve the learning outcomes (3) stated in the lesson plan.

Introducing and Concluding Activities

Help learner’s complete field and classroom activities successfully by
introducing them thoroughly; you should:

Once the activity is completed, lead a debriefing of the exercise; include
participation and contributions from groups. Ensure that you close the
learning loop (6).

Forming Groups

Learners embrace and enjoy classroom and field activities more when working in groups. Ensure a good mix of age, experience level, responsibility (supervisor, worker), and employers within each group. Ask group to appoint a recording secretary and a spokesperson, and ensure that responsibilities are shared by all group members.

Course participants have a tendency to stay close to their friends who often have similar backgrounds, work experiences, and employer cultures. This may not be beneficial to their learning success. To move some individuals away from the comfort of their circle of friends, distribute a playing card to each person and ask those with Clubs, etc., to work together. You can also ask participants to number off into the required numbers of groups.
